TUESDAY
Les Mis! I truly have such a special place in my heart for that show. Some of the messages conveyed are so powerful, so beautiful, and so true. I think my favourites must be:
"Even the darkest night will end and the sun will rise."
"To love another person is to see the face of God."
The Queen's Theatre has been running Les Mis for 30 years. 30 years of the same musical in the same theatre-quite an impressive record!
THURSDAY
Day trip! We first traveled to Canterbury Cathedral.
Left: location of the martyrdom of Thomas Becket, Archbishop of Caterbury
Right: outside of the cathedral
My new life motto.
PC: Rebekah Cutler
Next stop: Dover! We visited the "Secret" Wartime Tunnels. Unfortunately, photography was not allowed!
So instead, I made sure I had a plethora of photos of the ocean. If you squint, cock your head to one side, and stare at the picture long enough, you'll probably be able to make out the French coast across the way!

"Watch carefully, the magic that occurs, when you give a person just enough comfort to be themselves."
Atticus, To Kill a Mockingbird
Up next: Battle Abbey
Location of the Battle of Hastings in 1066, in which William the Conqueror successfully invaded England.
Eastboune: perhaps the most lovely place in the world.
I felt like I had stepped into the movie "Somewhere in Time." Everything about the town was so quaint, sleepy, and picturesque.
Bek and I spent the evening walking the promenade, eating Chinese food, and soaking up all the beauty there was to behold.
Fun fact: England is better with a friend. But even better when that friend is Bekah.
FRIDAY
I enjoy long walks on the beach. And sunrises. And England.
The beach makes me happy and stuff.
Beachy Head. And the White Cliffs of Dover.
Our cute London family
I unknowingly photobombed Caroline's selfie. Oops. ;)
Mr. Churchill's backyard.
Meditation appreciation.
You go, Mr. Churchill.
Hever Castle-home to Anne Boleyn, second wife of Henry XIII
Autumn is just about here! :)
Our last stop of the day was the London Temple. I had another one of those moments where I didn't want to take a picture, because I wouldn't be able to capture how I felt at that moment. So just know that it is beautiful and my heart is full of gratitude for being able to see it. :)
SATURDAY
Bek, Emma, and I traveled to Borough Market for lunch. I had a delicious grilled cheese and the BEST chocolate eclair I have ever had. Then, we watched General Conference. It was so different to watch it at 5pm and 9pm, rather than 10am and 2pm. I kind of liked it though! I had the whole day, then got to watch it in the evening. I love listening to the words of those called of God, hearing their counsel, and knowing that what they say is what Heavenly Father wants His children to hear.SUNDAY
A lovely afternoon spent picnicking in Kensington Gardens with Emma and Bean. General Conference in the evening once more!
One month down, two more to go. This week was surreal for me; I cannot believe that much time has past already, and I cannot fathom the incredible sights and experiences I have had. What a wonderful opportunity this has been for me. I am so grateful to be here, and for those who supported me in my decision to come here, who encouraged me, gave me advice, and continue to do so. Love you all!
